You don’t need to be a seasoned professional to start your own business. As per a recent survey, 17% students plan to start a business before graduation. Nowadays, many startups are coming up from the college incubators. Entrepreneurship Development Cell of UIET is one such community that is giving wings to the entrepreneurial ideas of students. They organize workshops, competitions, pitching sessions and some other events that give budding entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their startup model. UDYAMI is a flagship event by EDC (UIET) that aims to bring together entrepreneurs, students and investors. It covers panel discussions, workshops and speaker sessions by industry experts.
For the fourth edition of UDYAMI, which was held on 10th and 11th March, digitalseries was happy to be associated as a Digital Guide. The event witnessed an Analyzer & Executor workshop which was hosted by Nitin Rai Chaudhary, the Founder of digitalseries. The workshop was followed by a competition, wherein participants were given choice between 2-3 case studies; they had to develop marketing strategies to revitalize the brand from its current position. digitalseries team was also invited for a startup meet to share their experience of working at a growing brand. The team also talked about workspace culture at digitalseries.
The secret of getting ahead in business is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking the complex overwhelming tasks into smaller manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. There are simple things that a person needs to keep in mind while starting a business, know your product better than anyone, know your customer, and have a burning desire to succeed. We are living in an era where there is no longer a generation gap, there is knowledge gap. We need to eliminate such gaps by educating people. Great businesses solve problems of the society not just by selling their products or services, they also enlighten people.
